Green Ridge Reminders/Updates

Greetings -
As the cold weather arrives along with our winter break, we wanted to send out a few reminders. In addition, see below for our new parent pick up parking option.
Recess Reminder
Remember we are now in the
cold weather season. Please remember to send your children to school with coats,
hats, and gloves as we will continue to go outside for recess as long as the Wind
Chill (Feels Like) temperature is above 17 degrees and the weather is
permitting.
Student Drop Off and Pick Up
Student Drop Off will remain the same with parents pulling through the cones and having students exit on the passenger side. Please do not have students get out of the driver side. This is for their safety since other cars will be driving through the parking lot at that time. The other option is to park in the side lot, and adults may bring the students to the front of the building. Please do not park in the front of the school since buses will be pulling in and out of our lot. You may always reference these procedures on our website under the "For Parents" tab, or click here.
Student Pick Up will remain virtually the same as we ask parents to park and come into the school to sign out their child/children. Please do not park in the front of the school since buses will be pulling in and out of our lot. You may park in the side parking lot. In addition, starting on Monday, December 18, 2017, we will open the upper playground for parking. Please note: We will not have security in the afternoon so parents will be responsible for parking in the back lot. Please do not block other cars. We had to block off the front grass area due to limited visibility for cars, vans, and buses leaving our lot. Safety was a factor. ‘Twas the Week Before Winter Break…
For the final week leading up to the winter break, we are spreading the holiday spirit by dressing in fun ways at school! These ideas are optional but can spread the holiday cheer!
Friday, 12/15 -- Green Day: Dress in green or wear Gator gear!
Monday, 12/18 -- Cozy Day - Dress in PJs! (Please wear shoes & be weather appropriate)
Tuesday, 12/19 -- Snow day: Wear all white!
Wednesday, 12/20 -- Holiday Hat Day!
Thursday, 12/21 -- Twinkle and Sparkle Day!
Friday, 12/22 -- Red Day!

PM Kindergarten
students will be picked up in the morning at the same location as their existing
afternoon drop off or the daycare PM pickup location currently in place. Please
visit www.cvschools.org/transportation and click on the "2017-18
school bus schedules" link to locate your child's AM pickup time on this day.
You may also call our school office or the transportation department at
506-3310.
Kindergarten
parents must be at the stop to get their students off
the bus. Drop off times will be approximately three hours and 40 minutes earlier
than usual drop off times and shortly after 12:00.
KINDERGARTEN 2 HOUR DELAY INFORMATION
As we head into winter
and inclement weather season, we want to remind parents of our modified
Kindergarten transportation schedule when a two-hour delay is called:
AM K: Arrive at 10:55 AM, Dismiss at 12:30 PM (Arrive
2 hours late, dismiss 1 hour late)
PM K: Arrive at 2:00 PM, Dismiss at 3:35 PM (Arrive 1
hour late, dismiss at normal time)
Ext. Day K: Arrive at 10:55 AM, Dismiss at 2:15 PM (Arrive
2 hours late, dismiss at normal time of 2:15 PM)
