Principal of Green Ridge Elementary School - Maria Miller
Dr. Miller loves being a part of the Green Ridge community. She graduated with an elementary education degree from St. Joseph's University. She taught at Kingsway Regional School District in New Jersey right after graduating college and then, four years later, moved to be close to her husband's family in Central Pennsylvania, taking a teaching position at Halifax Area School District. After receiving her principal's certificate from Penn State, Dr. Miller worked at Lower Dauphin Middle School as an Assistant Principal for four years. She most recently received her Superintendents Letter of Eligibility and completed her Doctorate of Education through Millersville and Shippensburg Universitates. She is starting her fifth year as the Green Ridge Elementary Principal!
Dr. Miller is a life long learner with a passion for education. She believes that education is about the whole child and it is our responsibility as educators to equip students with the tools they need to feel personal success.
In her free time Dr. Miller loves spending quality time with her husband, two children, and dog. She strives to live a balanced life, filled with fun, learning, exercise, and service.
