Meet the Leadership Team

Mr. Franze

Mr. Todd Franze, Principal

Mr. Franze grew up in the Chautauqua Lake region of New York. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Childhood Education in 2008 from Oswego State University in Oswego, NY. While working on his Masters of Arts in Literacy Education, Mr. Franze started his teaching career as a first grade teacher in Orange County, Virginia. The following year, Mr. Franze would move to the Washington D.C. area to be a fifth grade teacher at Marumsco Hills Elementary School.

After earning his Masters degree, Mr. Franze sought more leadership opportunities and transferred to the neighboring middle school, Woodbridge Middle School. At Woodbridge Middle, Mr. Franze coached boys’ and girls’ basketball, led the all-boys specialty program, as well as began his Educational Leadership program from George Mason University. In 2016, Mr. Franze earned his principal’s certificate and became the Assistant Principal of Douglas MacArthur Elementary School in Alexandria, VA.

After serving three years as assistant principal, Mr. Franze and his wife sought to be closer to family and find a supportive community to raise their two sons. Luckily, Mr. Franze landed in Cumberland Valley when he accepted the role of principal of Hampden Elementary, where within his five years, the school earned the distinction of being named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

Mr. Franze looks forward to another successful school year with our Gator community!

Mrs. Ireland

Mrs. Stacy Ireland, Assistant Principal

Mrs. Ireland grew up in the Mechanicsburg area. She is a graduate of Cumberland Valley and attended The Ohio State University for her undergrad program. She started her career in education as a first grade teacher at Middlesex Elementary. During that time, she earned her Masters in Literacy Education and Reading Specialist certification. She then became a Reading Specialist at Monroe Elementary and later their Instructional Coach. She was drawn to leadership and completed the Educational Leadership program through Shippensburg University to earn her principal’s certificate. When the Assistant Principal job came open at Green Ridge Elementary, it seemed like a great opportunity to begin work in administration.

Mrs. Ireland, her husband, and their two daughters have had such a positive experience living and going to school in the Cumberland Valley School District. Mrs. Ireland looks forward to engaging with and supporting families and students at Green Ridge Elementary. In her free time, Mrs. Ireland likes to take walks with her dog and play with her kids outside.
