Volunteer Clearances

As you may be aware, legislation was enacted which requires subsets of school volunteers to obtain clearances in order to assist with certain school-related activities. Individuals who will be required to obtain clearances include: Classroom volunteers with regular or routine visits, Field trip Chaperones, PTO officers, PTO volunteers (dependent on event duration) and Coaches.

There are three (3) clearances required in order to be an approved volunteer:
1-Criminal Background Clearance
2-Child Abuse Clearance
3-FBI Fingerprint Clearance

Please do not turn in clearances until you have all three background checks completed. Clearances are obtained at the volunteer’s expense and must be turned into the main office no later than one week prior to volunteering. Completed clearances can be emailed ([email protected]), faxed (717-506-3946) or delivered to office staff at Green Ridge main office between the hours of 8AM-4:30PM.
